Senior Year

My capstone project is to investigate the basis of vaccine hesitancy and specific US policies that created distrust in the vaccine. In my paper, I discuss deliberate attempts by the US to skew data/lie in order to gain public trust in the government. I analyzed how this strategy backfires, and actually leads to more public distrust. Additionally, I linked some of my favorite sources down below.

A surprising aspect of current pandemic is the low usage of rapid diagnostic tests. One problem may be that people do not realize how simple rapid tests are to use. So, I produced a video that shows how to do the BINAXNOW Rapid Covid Test. I hope that this will make some impact on the pandemic.

Here is a quiz that will test your knowledge on COVID. I made the quiz through a website called interact. I used The World Through Data and the US Census to make this quiz. Majority of the questions in the quiz directly relate to my paper.

For my second product, I created a lesson plan that teaches students about how COVID-19 Variants effect vaccination status. This is similar to my educational kit that I made last year, except this lesson can all be done on a computer. This lesson also teaches students about BLAST, which is very useful for students interested in Biology.
